LACE Retreat

Have you ever felt like you were between a rock and a hard place? Good! The “hard place” is the world we live in and the troubles we face. The Word says that we will see sorrows and suffering. BUT… There is good news…. Actually Great News! If the Rock in your life is God and your faith is firmly planted on him alone, then the hard place is bearable. The rock is permanent, but the hard times will pass and new troubles will come again. That is why he says: “Anyone who listens to my teaching AND follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds his house on sand” Matt 7:24-26 NLT. But once we have built our house on the bedrock we must focus on the great commission, to love others and spread God’s word.

Notice it says those that HEAR my teaching. We live in a hard place and there are many that have not heard the word of God. “So that you may be blameless and pure, innocent children of God surrounded by people who are crooked and corrupt. Among these people you shine like stars in the world.” Phil 2:15 CEB. I think this is the true relationship that God desires with each of us. This year’s retreat will focus on building that Rock Solid Faith, but so much more. We are already women of Faith. Our faith may be weak at this time, or we may feel more intimacy with God than ever and stronger than ever. The message and theme of the retreat we pray will renew and reinforce your faith. Yet, we must as women of faith go one step further. We must “Shine like Stars in this World”. God wants to ROCK our World, but he wants us to the ROCK THE WORLD in return.
