Hotter than a well diggers lunch bucket was a favorite term used by my father-in-law, Melissa’s dad. Needless to say, summer is upon us. It is getting hot. Thankfully, not as hot as death valley which recorded 127 degrees. Yes, that is hotter than Wichita Falls which holds the Texas record of 120 degrees. Yet church goes on. We still worship and we still have activities for all ages. Children continue with traveling Tuesdays. Our third Thursday will host Heartland Harmonies, y’all come. Further, the Joy Mission Group meets on Tuesday mornings. And our youth have exciting activities.
We pray that you will make a special effort to be here for our 4th of July Celebration. Melissa, the choir and the worship team do a fantastic job in planning and leading a wonderful Patriotic salute to our nation.
Yet, more than all of that our purpose is to glorify God with all of our being. No matter how hot the weather.
