“The Best of All is God is With Us” – John Wesley

Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Psalms 46: 1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging

This time of the year always brings us to question whether we should set a New Year’s Resolution or not. There are always heavy opinions on, not only what resolution to set, but why set that specific goal in the first place. Whatever your personal opinion on setting these goals may be, I would like to encourage you to focus this year on claiming a promise God has made to you. The Bible is full of these promises God wants you to know. These verses included are just one promise we, as Christians should know and live out our lives in the reflection of this promise: God is with us through everything! Claim this idea and let your life be a reflection of it. Here is a short list of more of these promises, including but not limited to: In my weakness, He is Strong, God forgives all of your sin, God works all things together for good for those who love Him, He is your strength, God will guide you, Peace is given beyond our understanding, Power to overcome Satan, We have eternal Life in Christ Jesus. These promises will be the focus of our Youth program for the next month. We will be looking at a sermon from Pastor Craig Groeshel of Life Church called “Words to Live by” about a spiritual discipline involving our thoughts and the impact they have on our lives. I would like to invite the remainder of the congregation to, not only look into the promises God made us, but learn the impact of applying them to your life.

In Christ,

Holli Clark
