18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
2 Peter 3:18
I know I’ve said it before, but I thoroughly enjoy the beginning of the school year! There’s just so much energy everywhere you go. There’s students excited to see their friends (although they may not want to be at school), there’s parents excited to send their kids back to school, and there’s teachers excited to work with their students and impact people in a positive way! I feel like it’s also a time many people stop looking to God and become distracted by the craziness of the new year. I mean, it’s football season, who doesn’t love some aspect of football season. But that is exactly it: we are too fascinated with the things of this world and we don’t enjoy the presence of God enough. Are we spending as much time with God as we are planning for the school year? Do we get as excited about the blessings God gives us as when the team scores a touchdown? Are we dedicating everything we do to His glory? These are the things I hope to teach our youth because these are the things we all need to be focusing our entire being on.
September 4th: Family Fun Night/1st Wednesday Night Fellowship-I will not be able to be at the church this night so they will be helping Mrs.Gina with her games.
