I am praying for everyone’s safety in this cold and possibly icy weather. We are watching the weather closely, but are planning a wonderful night back for Mid-Week! It seems as though the icy weather won’t come until tomorrow morning. We will let you know if anything changes! We hope to see you tonight.
As we begin the new year, I have heard so many people saying that their favorite thing about going through the story together was having one focus on Sunday mornings. I cannot agree more! I have been working on studies that pair with my sermon series for the year.
Our youth and children’s departments will be going through the same studies, and we have an opportunity for our adult Sunday School classes to do the same. I will be sending out our first study to the Adult Sunday School leaders hopefully by tomorrow morning at the very latest.
With that, I will also have weekly scripture readings for us to read as a church. And here is the cool part, if we are reading the same thing, then we can ask each other questions about how we felt like the Lord was speaking to us through his word.
For 2025, our focus is “More of Jesus.” If you missed Sunday, please go to our YouTube channel and listen to the sermon. It is a helpful introduction to where we are focusing this year.
Our focus verse is Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”
May the Lord do immeasurably more in our lives and church this year! More than all we ask or imagine.
