Pastor Hayley Shotts
I grew up in Cleburne, TX attending both Saint Mark and First Methodist UMC. I moved to Waco to attend Baylor University in the Fall of 2011. It was during my time at Baylor that the Lord called me into vocational ministry as an Elder in the Methodist Church. After graduating, I stayed in Waco while working at First Methodist Waco and attending Asbury Theological Seminary. This is when I met my husband, Andrew, who was attending Truett Seminary at the time. We got married in the late summer of 2020 and welcomed our daughter in November of 2022. Her name is Elizabeth, and we love her so much. As a family, we enjoy traveling, building things, spending time with friends, investing in our church family, and enjoying the outdoors with our yellow lab named Dolly. I was recently ordained in the Global Methodist Church, and it has been the biggest blessing. I am orthodox when it comes to my faith and I have a heart for both contemporary styles of worship and traditional. I have a huge heart for teenagers and raising up our next generation of leaders. However, in the words of Brennan Manning, I think the most important thing to know about me is that “I am deeply loved by Jesus Christ and I have done nothing to earn it or deserve it.” I truly feel that the Lord has brought us together, and I am incredibly thankful to be serving as your Senior Pastor. We covet your prayers as we make our move up to Forney after over a decade in Waco.
