Church Family,

Christmas Eve week is here! As I have been reflecting on this year, as many of us do at towards the end of the year, I feel so grateful to be ending my year with each of you, at such a beautiful church, in the sweetest part of Texas. Each of you have made our lives brighter in such a short amount of time. Thank you for making our move to Forney so easy and for welcoming us in as your own.

Of all of the gifts that I have seen this church have, the love of others is the greatest. I know that the last year or so has felt like an uphill battle at times with disaffiliation, but all of your work, by the grace of God, has gotten First Methodist Forney here today. That is worth celebrating. I look forward to what the Lord has in store for us in the new year.

However, we have something pretty big before the new year arrives.  Christmas Eve is THIS Sunday! Can you believe it?! We will be celebrating with four beautiful and all unique services. We will have a combined service at 10 am in the morning as our Fourth Sunday of Advent service. We will still close the service with a candlelight singing of “Silent Night.” Our 5 pm service will be our kids leading us in the telling of the Christmas Service. Our 7 pm service will be a traditional Christmas Eve service, and 11 pm Lessons and Carrols. We hope that you join us at one or all of our services! We will be partaking in holy communion in all of our services. This is the perfect time to invite someone new to church.

Our Church offices will remain closed on December 25th and December 26th.

Merry Christmas!
