Church Family,

As we embark on a new year together, I love to have a focus that weaves us together throughout the year. This year, our focus is Grace. Our understanding of grace is foundational to our Christian Faith, but it is also a defining doctrine in Methodism. Below you will find a snapshot of our Sunday morning Journey together.

We will be using Andrew Thompson’s book on the Means of Grace to guide us in understanding the beautiful grace of our Lord. If you click on the image of the book, it will take you to a link to the book if you wish to have a copy of your own.

Focus Verse for 2024

“They devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching and the fellowship of the breaking of bread and the prayers…and the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
Acts 2:42-47

January 7-February 11: Walking in Grace – Part I of Means of Grace
February 18-March 31: The Gospel of Grace – Lenten Series
April 7-November 3: The Story of Grace – 31 weeks through the Story Bible
November 10-24: Transforming Grace – Part II & III of Means of Grace
December 1-29: The Birth of Grace – Advent Series

I know we have a beautiful year ahead together, one filled with the Grace of God. I know this because of how beautifully we ended our year as a church. We had four Spirit-filled services on Christmas Eve. The birth of our Savior is just the beginning of so much He was coming to do and is still doing. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and many new faces in our sanctuary throughout the day as we celebrated Emmanuel.

In my sermon on Sunday, I shared a story of a friend who invited me to church and showed up at my door to pick me up anyway after I had told her that I didn’t want to go. I am thankful she did that. Who have you invited to church this week? Our parking lot is currently under construction, so it’s the perfect time to go pick up a friend for church!

I hope to see you all Sunday as we embark on our year of Grace!

Blessings,
Pastor Hayley
